1. سَيَّارَة (sayyārah) – car
أَقُودُ سَيَّارَتِي إِلَى العَمَلِ.
Aqūdu sayyāratī ilā al-ʿamali.
I drive my car to work.
2. حَافِلَة (ḥāfilah) – bus
أَرْكَبُ الحَافِلَةَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ.
Arkabu al-ḥāfilata kulla yawmin.
I take the bus every day.
3. دَرَّاجَة (darrājah) – bicycle
أُحِبُّ رُكُوبَ الدَّرَّاجَةِ فِي المَسَاءِ.
Uḥibbu rukūba ad-darrājah fī al-masāʾ.
I love riding the bicycle in the evening.
4. قِطَار (qiṭār) – train
أُسَافِرُ بِالقِطَارِ إِلَى مَدِينَةٍ أُخْرَى.
Usāfiru bi-al-qiṭār ilā madīnah ukhrā.
I travel by train to another city.
5. طَائِرَة (ṭāʾirah) – airplane
رَكِبْتُ الطَّائِرَةَ إِلَى دُبَي.
Rakibtu aṭ-ṭāʾirata ilā Dubay.
I took the airplane to Dubai.
6. مِتْرُو (mitrū) – metro
أَسْتَخْدِمُ المِتْرُو لِلوُصُولِ سَرِيعًا.
Astaʿmilu al-mitrū li-l-wuṣūli sarīʿan.
I use the metro to arrive quickly.
7. سَيَّارَةُ أُجْرَة (sayyārat ʾujrah) – taxi
أَخَذْتُ سَيَّارَةَ أُجْرَةٍ إِلَى المَطَارِ.
Akhadhtu sayyārat ujrah ilā al-maṭār.
I took a taxi to the airport.
8. دَرَّاجَة نَارِيَّة (darrājah nāriyyah) – motorcycle
يَقُودُ أَخِي دَرَّاجَةً نَارِيَّةً.
Yaqūdu akhī darrājah nāriyyah.
My brother rides a motorcycle.
9. مِينَاء (mīnāʾ) – port/harbor
نُسَافِرُ بِالسَّفِينَةِ مِنَ المِينَاءِ.
Nusāfiru bi-as-safīnah mina al-mīnāʾ.
We travel by ship from the port.
10. سَفِينَة (safīnah) – ship
السَّفِينَةُ كَبِيرَةٌ وَسَرِيعَةٌ.
As-safīnah kabīrah wa sarīʿah.
The ship is big and fast.
11. مِرْوَحِيَّة (mirwaḥiyyah) – helicopter
تَحْلِقُ المِرْوَحِيَّةُ فَوْقَ المَدِينَةِ.
Taḥliqu al-mirwaḥiyyah fawqa al-madīnah.
The helicopter flies over the city.
12. مَحَطَّة (maḥaṭṭah) – station
أَنْتَظِرُ القِطَارَ فِي المِحَطَّةِ.
Antaẓiru al-qiṭāra fī al-maḥaṭṭah.
I wait for the train at the station.
13. مَطَار (maṭār) – airport
وَصَلْنَا إِلَى المَطَارِ مُبَكِّرًا.
Waṣalnā ilā al-maṭār mubakkiran.
We arrived at the airport early.
14. تَذْكِرَة (tadhkirah) – ticket
اِشْتَرَيْتُ تَذْكِرَةَ السَّفَرِ.
Ishtaraytu tadhkirata as-safar.
I bought the travel ticket.
15. طَرِيق (ṭarīq) – road
الطَّرِيقُ مُزْدَحِمٌ اليَوْمَ.
Aṭ-ṭarīq muzdaḥim al-yawm.
The road is crowded today.
16. إِشَارَة مُرُور (ishārat murūr) – traffic light
نَوْقِفُ عِنْدَ إِشَارَةِ المُرُورِ.
Nawqifu ʿinda ishārat al-murūr.
We stop at the traffic light.
17. حَادِث (ḥādith) – accident
وَقَعَ حَادِثٌ فِي الطَّرِيقِ.
Waqaʿa ḥādith fī aṭ-ṭarīq.

18. زِحَام (ziḥām) – traffic jam
الوُصُولُ مُتَأَخِّرٌ بِسَبَبِ الزِّحَامِ.
Al-wuṣūlu mutaʾakhkhirun bisababi az-ziḥām.

19. رُخْصَة سِيَاقَة (rukhsat siyāqah) – driving license
عِنْدِي رُخْصَةُ سِيَاقَةٍ جَدِيدَةٌ.
ʿIndī rukhsatu siyāqah jadīdah.

20. وُصُول (wuṣūl) – arrival
كَانَ الوُصُولُ فِي الوَقْتِ المُحَدَّدِ.
