1. طَعَام (ṭaʿām) – food
أُحِبُّ طَعَامَ أُمِّي كَثِيرًا.

2. شُرْب (shurb) – drinking
الشُرْبُ بَعْدَ الطَّعَامِ مُهِمٌّ.
Ash-shurbu baʿda aṭ-ṭaʿāmi muhimmun.
Drinking after eating is important.
3. مَاء (māʾ) – water
أَشْرَبُ المَاءَ كُلَّ صَبَاحٍ.
Ashrabu al-māʾa kulla ṣabāḥin.

4. خُبْز (khubz) – bread

Aṭlubu ʿaṣīra burtuqālin.

9. فَاكِهَة (fākihah) – fruit
آكُلُ الفَاكِهَةَ بَعْدَ العَشَاءِ.
Ākulu al-fākihata baʿda al-ʿashāʾi.
I eat fruit after dinner.
10. خُضْرَوَات (khuḍrawāt) – vegetables
أُمِّي تَطْبُخُ خُضْرَوَاتٍ طَازَجَةٍ.
Ummī taṭbukh khuḍrawātin ṭāzajah.
My mom cooks fresh vegetables.
11. لَحْم (laḥm) – meat
نُحِبُّ أَكْلَ اللَّحْمِ فِي العِيدِ.
Nuḥibbu akla al-laḥmi fī al-ʿīd.
We love eating meat during Eid.
12. سَمَك (samak) – fish
أَكْلُ السَّمَكِ صِحِّيٌّ جِدًّا.
Aklu as-samaki ṣiḥḥiyyun jiddan.

Ashtarī dajājan maqlayyan.

14. بَيْض (bayḍ) – eggs
أَتَنَاوَلُ بَيْضًا مَسْلُوقًا.
Atanāwalu bayḍan maslūqan.
I eat boiled eggs.
15. جُبْن (jubn) – cheese
أُضِيفُ الجُبْنَ إِلَى السَّلَطَةِ.
Uḍīfu al-jubna ilā as-salāṭah.

16. أَرُزّ (aruzz) – rice
نُقَدِّمُ الأَرُزَّ مَعَ اللَّحْمِ.
Nuqaddimu al-aruzza maʿa al-laḥmi.
